LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kevin Spacey recently shared that he received a supportive message from King Charles during his legal battle against sex abuse allegations, as reported by The Daily Mail.

In an interview on 'Piers Morgan Uncensored', the 64-year-old actor revealed that while he hadn't directly spoken to the King, he had "heard a message" of encouragement. Despite his gratitude, Spacey expressed reluctance to involve Charles further, acknowledging the monarch's busy schedule.

The former 'House of Cards' star, who was cleared of sexually assaulting four men last year, admitted to past "handsy" behavior that "pushed boundaries."

Spacey was quick to clarify that he did not want to drag the King into his personal issues, noting that Charles had previously honored him with a CBE in 2010 and an honorary knighthood in 2016 for his contributions to drama.

Spacey added, "He's got a lot on his plate and I wish him the very best."

Spacey mentioned that Charles had been supportive of him since he became artistic director of The Old Vic in 2003, regularly attending productions at the London theatre.

"We were fortunate that during his time as the Prince of Wales, he had a great appreciation for The Old Vic, believing in its mission... I always felt privileged to contribute in any way I could to The Prince's Trust," Spacey remarked.

In the candid interview, Spacey acknowledged being "handsy" and "pushing boundaries," despite being acquitted of sexually assaulting four men last year.

The actor disclosed that he has faced thoughts of suicide since being charged with indecent assault in 2018, adding that his million-dollar legal fees have left him nearly bankrupt and he has been compelled to sell his home.

He further mentioned that he had personally reached out to a 'substantial' number of men to offer his apologies for his past behavior and expressed his determination to get back on track.

During the candid conversation, Spacey admitted to "pushing boundaries" in his interactions, stating, "Being too handsy, touching someone sexually in a way that I didn't know at the time they didn't want. I personally, I have caressed people, I have been gentle with people, that is the way that I am."

"You're making a pass at someone, you don't want to be aggressive. You want to be gentle. You want to see if they're going to respond positively," he noted.

"I am absolutely 150 per cent prepared to take accountability for those things that I did and the mistakes that I made. 'Bad, bad, bad behaviour sometimes," the actor added.

Kevin Spacey, once a prominent figure in Hollywood, faced severe backlash in 2017 when allegations of sexual misconduct emerged, leading streaming giant Netflix to sever ties with the actor. Accused of nine sexual assaults on four men during his tenure as artistic director of the Old Vic theatre, Spacey vehemently denied the claims, labeling them as "madness" and alleging that the claimants were motivated by financial gain.

However, in July 2023, Spacey was acquitted of all charges after a highly publicized trial at Southwark Crown Court, during which Sir Elton John provided testimony in his defense. Despite the legal victory, Spacey's reputation remained tarnished, exacerbated by his association with figures like Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell, both linked to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Amid the turmoil, Spacey publicly addressed his sexuality, coming out as gay in response to the allegations.

He said, "I have had relationships with both men and women. I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life, and I choose now to live as a gay man."

Reflecting on his journey, he acknowledged years of being closeted and expressed a desire to be a positive role model for those struggling with their identity.

Speaking for the first time about his sexuality, Spacey told Morgan, "I was closeted as a man, and I was fiercely closeted for a very long time, and now that I am out, regardless of the fact that I came out in a way that was not the best coming out party ever, I would like to try to be as positive a voice for those who are experiencing difficulty in embracing their own selves and their own lives."

Spacey revealed the dire financial situation he currently faces, with his Baltimore home set to be foreclosed and sold at auction due to overwhelming legal debts.
