LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Reality TV personality Khadiyah "KD" Lewis, best known for her role on 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta', has died at 44, on May 30. 

 

Her brothers confirmed the heartbreaking news to The Shade Room on June 5, calling it an “extremely emotionally devastating time” for the family.

 

They also requested privacy as the family grieves and declined to discuss any details surrounding the cause of her death. Lewis will be laid to rest on June 11, with funeral services taking place at the Earl M Temple Memorial Chapel in Oklahoma City, as per PEOPLE.

She is survived by her parents, Debra Body and David Clark Lewis Jr, along with her sisters, Rasheedah Lewis and Nia T Hill, and her brothers, Jamaal Lewis and Ahmedu Elijah Inegbedion.

Khadiyah 'KD' Lewis' brothers mourn death of their sister

According to an Instagram post by The Shade Room, Khadiyah "KD" Lewis’ brothers, Jammal Lewis and Elijah Inegbedion, confirmed the death of their sister. They shared with the outlet: “Unfortunately our dear love one Khadiyah Lewis passed away on May 30th 2025. At this time, we have decided to not discuss anything surrounding her death or why she passed away."

 

They concluded, "What we would like to do at this time is to offer tha many poeple whose lives she touched an opportunity to celebrate her life through a Zoom Memorial Serivce on Saturday, June 14th, 2025.”

 

Elijah Inegbedion also addressed his sister’s death in an emotional Facebook post on June 3rd, writing: “Been at a lost for words for some days now. And to think that I’ll ever have the words to describe the person you’ve been and the legacy that you left behind would be erroneous Long Live my sister Khadiyah Lewis.”

 

He went on to say, “You left behind a legacy most individuals can only dream of. Thank you for loving me the way you did and always having my back no matter what. God blessed me when he made me your baby brother and for that I am eternally thankful. You are forever on my mind and in my heart. I love you! ❤️ 🕊️"



 

Who was Khadiyah 'KD' Lewis?

According to her obituary, Khadiyah "KD" Lewis was a graduate of North Springs High School and Florida A&M University. She built a successful career as a business and tax consultant.

The cause of her death has not been disclosed. The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office told The New York Post, "Khadiyah Jaleela Lewis was not a Medical Examiner case and therefore we have no further information.”

 

Lewis gained public attention through her appearances on 'Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta', initially appearing in Season 3 while dating rapper Yung Joc.  According to Entertainment Weekly, she became part of the supporting cast in Season 4 after officially becoming Yung Joc’s girlfriend.
