LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Khloe Kardashian is getting real about the one holiday she thought she’d always love and why it now feels more exhausting than joyful.

During a recent episode of 'Khloe in Wonder Land', the 40-year-old mom of two revealed she doesn’t enjoy Mother’s Day the way she once imagined, admitting she'd prefer time off from parenting rather than a full day of family festivities.

“To me, Mother's Day is — and my kids are young so they are not going to listen to this — but I’m like, Mother’s Day is,” Kardashian said candidly.

“I don’t want to pretend I’m doing all this stuff or I’m doing something for you. Mother’s Day is like 'Bye-bye, see you guys at the end of the day' like that would be the Mother’s Day because it’s the Mother’s Day, like to me, I don’t understand what Mother’s Day is because it makes me do way more things.”

Kardashian, who shares daughter True, 7, and son Tatum, 2, with ex-partner Tristan Thompson, confessed she feels guilty about wanting solitude on a day meant to honor moms.

“I feel bad saying that. I’m like, what a f**ked up human being am I. I’ve wanted kids for so long. I have them. I’ve always wanted to celebrate Mother’s Day, but now, I’m like, 'Oh this isn’t really what I thought it was gonna be.' So, but now saying 'Actually Mother’s Day, I would love to not have to mother today.' Like, is that so wrong of me to say?’”

Though no longer romantically involved, Kardashian and Thompson have remained close co-parents.

“We’re not meant to be together, but he was meant to be the father of my kids,” she said on the SHE MD podcast earlier this year. “He’s the nicest guy and we get along so well now.”

Khloe often shares sweet parenting moments and the occasional prank with her kids. Just last month, she posted a video revealing that True had sneakily attached a blue, bedazzled whale keychain to her designer purse.

“She knows and she does this,” Khloé said with a laugh. “We have hearts, puppies, unicorns and she gives me a whale. I can’t wait until she gets out of school so I can ask her why.”

Khloe has previously called motherhood her most fulfilling role, telling viewers of 'The Kardashians' in a June episode, “I genuinely feel like I was made to be a mom.” Even if, on some days, she just wants a moment alone.

Khloe Kardashian says no to sleepovers for her kids

Khloe Kardashian is setting firm boundaries when it comes to parenting and sleepovers are officially off the table.

During a recent episode of her podcast 'Khloe in Wonder Land', the 40-year-old mother of two opened up to UFC CEO Dana White about her strict rules for raising daughter True, 7, and son Tatum, 2.

“I don’t let my kids sleep anywhere. I’m very strict about it,” Kardashian revealed. “Times are different, so I just don’t allow it. I’ve watched too much Dateline — my brain just goes places.”

While she joked about possibly “shaving her head and going nuts” once her kids grow up and leave the house, Kardashian admitted she’s already laying the groundwork to keep her family close. “I think I’m brainwashing my kids into thinking it’s normal to live next to your mom,” she said, laughing. “So when I’m older, they’ll just assume that’s what you’re supposed to do.”
