WASHINGTON, DC: Kid Rock claimed in an interview with Fox News ahead of his performance at President-elect Donald Trump's inaugural ceremony that the incoming president has gained celebrity support because stars "feel it’s safe" now.

Kid Rock got the party going at Trump's Victory Rally on Sunday, January 19 noon and performed 'Sweet Home Alabama' to kick-start his set at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, according to Fox News.

Kid Rock opens up on why Trump has gained celebrity support

Kid Rock told hosts Lawrence Jones, Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade during the interview, "It feels like the rebirth of our nation. Felt like that at the UFC fight after the election, everybody was together, you know, walking to the ring."

He explained, "There's just this overwhelming sense … you've heard it a million times, that America's back."

Moreover, he also spoke about how, since Trump had secured the Oval Office in November last year, Hollywood seemed to embrace him as the nation's leader and has become less reluctant to voice their support.

He said, "Now they feel it's safe to go in the water after dipping their toe in it for four to eight years. I mean, welcome to the party, like I've said. Better to have them on board than not."

The singer also mentioned that there's a whole change in the air and shift in everything.

Kid Rock mentioned, "People saw what he did the first time. And when you really look at the facts and the numbers and how great it was, and it's only going to be better from there. The feeling's everywhere."

He added, "Especially if you're on our side – it's through the roof. But I think people, all reasonable people, I feel, you know, are understanding, just if we would have got a reasonable Democrat."

Kid Rock trolls Michelle Obama for skipping Donald Trump’s inauguration

During a recent appearance on 'Jesse Watters Primetime', Kid Rock aimed at Michelle Obama for her choice not to attend the January 20 event, and said that she "seems a little angry".

Kid Rock didn’t hold back when discussing Michelle Obama's absence during the interview and described it as less about tradition and more about attitude.

He said, "I would kindly remind her that years back when [Barack] Obama was first elected, I did not vote for him, but they asked me to play the inauguration, and I played it and I went."

He recalled having a great time performing at the event, even though he didn’t share the same political views as the Obamas. Rock added, "So I would kindly remind Miss Michelle about that" noting that he believed her attendance at Trump’s inauguration would show respect for the presidency, according to Fox News.

Some online comments read "It’s nice to see people feeling more comfortable to be vocal on their views. It’s very sad our country got to the point where they weren’t" and "Trump for better or worse, has brought a once in a generation uniqueness to the political ring but more importantly he overhauled an old and stale GOP that kept losing because they refused to modernize."
