Kim Cattrall rumored to join 'And Just Like That' Season 3 cast as Samantha Jones but 'on her terms'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Cattrall's cameo in 'And Just Like That' Season 2 was a big hit for anyone who missed Samantha Jones. Although Cattrall did not film with the cast and crew, speculation is rife that she will return to the series, albeit with restrictions.

Cattrall is expected to play a major role in the next installment of 'And Just Like That' after her high-paying return to the role of Samantha Jones in the Season 3.

Kim Cattrall reportedly going to return to 'And Just Like That' Season 3

Recent rumors have that Kim Cattrall would return to her role as Samantha Jones in 'And Just Like That' Season 3 in a more expansive capacity. According to an insider, Samantha Jones will return to the show when its third season debuts in 2025—and she will return in a big way, per Life & Style.

Although Cattrall is eager to return to the series, the alleged insider added to the outlet that she would like to do it in her own unique style. She will take measures to make sure she isn't in direct contact with her former co-stars.

The informant claimed that Cattrall will film her sequences in London by herself. She also filmed her cameo in Season 2 separate from the other cast members.

The source said, "Since they’ve paved the way for Samantha to come back, it’s assumed that they’ve done a deal with Kim and they’re just waiting for the right time to announce it."

"The word is that she’ll get to do all her scenes in London. They’ll be bending over backwards to pay her an absolute fortune, and it’s all on her terms because she’s so central to the franchise," they added.

Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker are still not at peace, claims source

The source further added that Cattrall and former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker are still far from at peace which will likely lead to more conflict in the upcoming season.

"Everyone, including Sarah, has had to accept that this was necessary. However, the rivals and lack of forgiveness is still there as far as Kim’s concerned," the insider told Life & Style.

The source said of Cattrall, "She doesn’t do fake friendships, she’s not going to sit around and pretend to be best friends with Sarah, even if she does take the paycheck."

Cattrall has shown her dislike for Sarah Jessica Parker in public for years. It's still uncertain whether Cattrall, 67, will indeed film sequences with Kristen Davis, Cynthia Nixon, and Parker, 59.

The insider spilled, "It’s still open as to whether she’ll even film any scenes with the other women, but certainly she doesn’t want to break bread with them off camera and pretend like nothing ever happened."

"For Sarah, her attitude stinks, and she really thinks Kim needs to get a grip and let it go. If she’s making this much money, why is she still holding grudges? She doesn’t get it and doesn’t like it and it’s just going to lead to more tension," the source said.

Rumors of a conflict between the former cast members of 'Sex and the City' began circulating when Cattrall refused to sit with her SATC costars at the 2004 Emmys.

Further information about the women's rivalry came to light in 2017, a few years after the show's cancellation.

Sarah apparently received an offer to become an executive producer during the second season of the show, which only made tensions between her and Kim worse.

Cattrall has refrained from criticizing Cynthia Nixon. However, Nixon expressed her happiness that Cattrall was not involved in the project.
