LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian’s Instagram follower count has taken a hit since the release of pop sensation Taylor Swift’s diss track about her.

Before the release of 'The Tortured Poets Department' Kardashian had roughly 364.3 million followers. However, since Swift dropped 'Thank you aIMee', Kim’s following has dropped to 363 million. According to TMZ, Kim Kardashian has lost 100,000 followers on Instagram and X.

Taylor Swift's alleged diss track about Kim Kardashian

Kardashian, 43, faced backlash since Swift released the song on Friday, April 19. The song includes lyrics, “Everyone knows that my mother is a saintly woman / But she used to say she wished that you were dead.”

The speculation of the song referring to Kim came with the song’s seemingly title, which spells out “Kim” in capital letters. Swift has become known for placing hidden messages in her lyrics via capitalization.

But according to social media tracking applications, the reality personality has not only tasted the wrath of the 34-year-old pop diva's devoted fans—she has also apparently lost a sizable number of followers, which has caused her still-significant count to drop since the outcry. 'The Tortured Poets Department', Swift's 11th studio album, was supposed to be a critique of her past relationships, but Kardashian took the brunt of it.

Beyond its title, “thanK you aIMee”  Swift's song opening has significance, as she starts by singing that when she pictures her hometown presumably Los Angeles, there’s a “bronze spray-tanned statue” of “Aimee” with a “plaque underneath it that threatens to push me down the stairs at our school.”

The track declares “Aimee” as Swift’s teenage-style bully. “All that time you were throwin’ punches, I was buildin’ somethin’ / And I can’t forgive the way you made me feel / Screamed ‘F**k you, Aimee’ to the night sky, as the blood was gushin’,” she seethes on the track, before giving her nemesis some credit, “But I can’t forget the way you made me heal.”

The rivalry between Swift and Kardashian dates back more than ten years, starting when the reality star's ex-husband, Kanye West, took the stage at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and said that Beyonce should have received the award that Swift had just won.
