CHOWCHILLA, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian is always occupied doing something or the other, and this time the socialite has partnered with the REFORM Alliance and the Ladies of Hope Ministries for a heartfelt Mother’s Day initiative.

The effort is helping 50 incarcerated mothers reunite with their children by covering travel costs and selecting families on a first-come basis. This year, Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, May 10, making the reunions even more emotional.

As part of the visit, Kardashian also spent time with women in hospice care in Chowchilla. She said the experience left a lasting impact on her and was something she would never forget.

On Instagram, Kardashian reflected on the visit, saying, "Last week my mom and I visited a women’s prison, in Chowchilla, Central Californias Woman’s Facility hospice yard and witnessed something incredibly moving. Many of the women there have spent decades in prison and become family to one another, caring for women in hospice so no one has to die alone."

She added, "I’ve done this work for a long time, but the humanity, compassion, and love I saw there will stay with me forever. Thank you to CDCR for allowing me to come in and to the women who opened their hearts and shared their stories with us."

The reality star said the experience left a deep emotional impact on her and highlighted the strong bonds formed among the women inside the facility. She noted that moments like these remind her why she continues to stay involved in criminal justice reform work.

Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Khloe Kardashian lose millions in Instagram purge

Well ahead of Mother’s Day, the Kardashian-Jenner family faced a big drop on Instagram. Kim, Khloe, and Kylie were among several major celebrities who lost millions of followers. This happened after Meta removed fake and inactive accounts on Wednesday, May 6.

The clean-up is being called by fans "the Great Purge of 2026." According to Social Blade data, Kylie lost around 5 million followers, Kim dropped over 5.1 million, and Khloé saw a decrease of about 3.7 million.

Together, the sisters lost more than 13 million followers in total during the sweep. For those unaware, “The Great Purge of 2026” is the name social media users have given to Instagram’s reported mass removal of fake, inactive, spam, and bot accounts from the platform.
