LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian is weighing in on the intensifying immigration crackdown in Los Angeles. The reality star voiced her concern over recent ICE operations and expressed solidarity with the city’s immigrant communities.

In a strongly worded Instagram Story shared on Tuesday, June 10, the 44-year-old entrepreneur and media mogul called out what she described as “inhumane” enforcement tactics by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which has ramped up activity in Southern California amid days of public protests and a federal deployment of troops, the Independent reported.

“When we’re told that ICE exists to keep our country safe and remove violent criminals – great,” Kardashian wrote, adding, “But when we witness innocent, hardworking people being ripped from their families in inhumane ways, we have to speak up. We have to do what’s right.”

The protests in Los Angeles, which began earlier this week, have drawn national attention following President Donald Trump’s decision to deploy over 4,000 National Guard members and 700 Marines to assist with federal immigration enforcement. The move has ignited heated debate and spurred public figures like Kardashian to speak out.

Reflecting on her upbringing in Los Angeles, Kardashian highlighted the deep-rooted role immigrants play in the city’s cultural and economic fabric.

“Growing up in LA, I’ve seen how deeply immigrants are woven into the fabric of this city,” she said. “They are our neighbors, friends, classmates, coworkers, and family. No matter where you fall politically, it’s clear that our communities thrive because of the contributions of immigrants.”

Her message concluded with a direct call for reform, “We can’t turn a blind eye when fear and injustice keep people from living their lives freely and safely. There HAS to be a BETTER way.”

In addition to sharing her own statement, Kardashian reposted a viral clip from the 2025 BET Awards featuring rapper Doechii, who publicly criticized Trump and the ICE raids during her acceptance speech.

Kim Kardashian faced backlash online after she spoke out against ongoing ICE raids, with critics calling her stance hypocritical and performative.

One user slammed her past political silence and wrote on X, “But you voted for Trump so whatever.”

Another accused her of benefiting from the same system she’s now criticizing, “Kim Kardashian probably employs more than her fair share of cheap illegal immigrant labor. That's what greedy billionaires do,” they wrote.

The reaction quickly turned personal and intense, with one person writing, “Kim K supporting criminals — what else is new?”

Another individual remarked, “Kim Kardashian is a shallow hypocrite, whining against ICE from her luxury mansion, a fame hungry fool too clueless to see her own absurdity. She struts with her justice rants, a shrill nag spewing nonsense, turning her platform into a laughable circus of privileged ignorance.”

“Mind you she most likely voted for Trump and was silent during the whole election,” another wrote.

And some questioned her credibility outright, “I can never take her serious. She needs to sit this one out and work on her scam business.”
