In multiple images posted on her Instagram on Sunday, June 23, Kim sported a silver hairpiece arranged into basket-weave pigtails.

Detractors quickly compared the look to powdered periwigs that America's Founding Fathers like Thomas Jefferson and John Adams wore, per Daily Mail.

The SKIMS founder posed with her new hairstyle, which had two intricately braided sections perched on either side of her head in the middle.

In the images, she wore basic nude leggings and a mesh tank top, going completely makeup-free, with her constitutional coif as the main feature of her ensemble.
