"She’s such a great soul, such a great person. Not only that, but one hell of a musician and a great lyricist," Flave remarked.

He added, "She keeps it real, and that’s why I support her. So being that I support her so hard, all of her fans gave me a brand-new name."

Flavor Flav has long history of supporting Taylor Swift

The rapper and gymnast Jordan Chiles joined the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards stage to present the Best Collaboration award and Flav could not contain his joy when he learned that Swift and Post Malone had won for their song 'Fortnight.'

The Public Enemy performer leaped around the stage and gave Swift a hug, during which she could be heard saying, "You are so sweet. You’ve been so sweet to me, thank you."

Flav gestured to the audience with Swift's distinctive heart-shaped hands as he gave her the renowned moonman figurine.

The legendary rapper later took to X (formerly Twitter) and apologized that he might have stayed on stage too long the day before during his segment with Swift at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

Flav, whose real name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr, exclaimed, "I watched some videos from last night and feel like I might’ve stayed on stage too long. My bad. I was just so happy and excited that I didn’t realize it. Oops,!!!"

Flav has a long history of supporting Swift. He was present at both the Eras Tour film's world premiere and its Detroit tour stop in 2023, per Entertainment Weekly.

He paid tribute to Swift's lyrics from 'Evermore's 'Willow,' at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards, by wearing a T-shirt that read, "I come back stronger than a ’90s trend."

"I love me some Taylor Swift, man, always did," Flav later said in another interview as he spoke to Billboard on the red carpet. "I'm here to support her. I got good blood. I ain't got no bad blood," he added.

As promised, Flav has taken to supporting Swift on X, often tweeting about her and referring to himself as "King Swiftie."
