PIERRE, SOUTH DAKOTA: South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem suggested President Joe Biden's dog should also be killed like her 14-month-old dog Cricket, reported Mediaite.

Noem's revelation in her upcoming book that she shot and killed her dog for being aggressive received widespread criticism amidst her competition to be former President Donald Trump's 2024 running mate.

Continuing to defend the killing of her wire-haired pointer dog, Noem said Biden's dog, Commander, should also meet a similar fate. The German Shepherd was moved from the White House in 2023 after he bit Secret Service agents at least ten times, as per Politico.

In a recent interview on CBS 'Face The Nation,' host Margaret Brennan brought up Noem's memoir, which also talked about Biden's dog Commander. The Trump ally wrote that if she got into the White House, she would ensure Biden's dog was not anywhere on the premises. "Commander, say hello to Cricket," she imagined in the book.

Recalling the extract, Brennan asked, "Are you doing this to try to look tough? Do you still think you have a shot at being VP?"

"Well, number one, Joe Biden's dog has attacked 24 Secret Service people. So, how many people are enough people to be attacked and dangerously hurt before you make a decision on a dog and what to do about it?" Noem responded.

The host pointed out that Commander no longer stayed at the White House and asked whether she meant Biden's Dog should also be shot.

"That what's the president should be accountable to," the SD Governor replied.

In her book 'No Going Back: The Truth on What's Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward,' which is set to be released in the coming days, Noem vividly describes what led her to kill Cricket.

According to an extract obtained by The Guardian, the Trump VP contender said her dog was "untrainable" and took the "difficult choice" after Cricket attacked her neighbor's chickens.

She did not back down from defending her actions that happened around 20 years ago.

Internet syas Kristi Noem is 'holding her own beer'

Noem faced online mockery for suggesting to kill the president's dog just like she shot her 14-month-old Cricket.

One user wrote, "Beating a dead horse... that Kristi Noem probably shot for acting like a horse." Another remarked, "She’s holding her own beer!"

"She’s also apparently decided that damage control should be shot in the face," a third user added. A fourth response read, "Commander should file for a restraining order against Kristi Noem."

Another user said, "She had managed to unite both political sides against her, that's quite the acchievement."

"Kristi seems to be untrainable..." read a remark. Meanwhile, an individual quipped, "Really making the case for Trump to pick her isn’t she?"
