Kristin Cavallari says she had 'two major narcissistic relationships' in her life

During the episode, the 36-year-old said, "I've had two major narcissistic relationships in my life, the romantic one I was in and then my dad."

"I just finally stopped talking in both of those relationships. There was no point. You go around and around and they never see your side because there's no empathy," she added.

She shares sons 11-year-old Camden, nine-year-old Jaxon, and eight-year-old daughter Saylor with her ex-husband Jay Cutler. The now estranged couple ended their decade-long marriage in 2020.

Kristin Cavallari says she could not 'take the abuse' from her father

'The Hills' alum disclosed that she has cut her father Dennis out of her life in recent years. "I cut my dad out of my life about two years ago, which has honestly been the best thing I've ever done, really, truly it has," Cavallari said.

"It changes when you have kids. I was always like, 'I can take it. I can take the abuse. I have my whole life.' But when you start messing with my kids, I'm not doing it," she added.

Cavallari shared that she could no longer tolerate her father after he "crossed a line" with her young children. "For years, I was like, 'I don't want to talk. I don't want to be around it,' but I felt so guilty about it," she revealed.

"And then something happened with my kids and it crossed a line. And I was like, 'You know what, I'm done.' And he blamed me for it, threw everything back in my face. And I was like, 'What am I doing? Life's too short,'" she said.

In 2021, Cavallari opened up to ET about how she has been avoiding narcissistic relationships and what she is looking for in a partner following her separation from Cutler.

"I need someone who's just really stable, which is really funny because I never thought I'd be in a place where I have to say that I need someone stable," said Cavallari.

"But these are the times we are living in. It's the truth, yes, like that's actually really hard to find someone who's not a crazy narcissist," she quipped.
