Kylie Jenner reflects on rumors that she's 'stripping down' her style for Timothee Chalamet
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kylie Jenner recently remarked on her "clean girl era" and opened up about her style evolution over the years.
During the recent profiling by The New York Times published on Thursday, March 7, Kylie opened up about her latest business ventures as well as addressed rumors about the supposed change in her style after she started dating Timothee Chalamet.
Kylie Jenner reflects on her style evolution
The 26-year-old makeup mogul, who is also the youngest daughter of momager Kris Jenner, has always been known for her larger-than-life "King Kylie" aesthetic after adopting the lifestyle in 2010.
'The Kardashians' star not only opted for colorful wigs but also moved toward edgy sartorial choices to make her looks stand out.
However, ever since the mother-of-two was linked with the 'Call Me By Your Name' star, fans started noticing Kylie's apparent style evolution. Instead of donning her a la mode outfits, she appeared to have adopted a more soft, romantic style.
Kylie even chose to dress down and pair a plain black top with jeans while catching the 2023 US Open Men's Singles Final match with Chalamet.
Speaking to The New York Times, the 'Kylie Cosmetics' founder remarked on her makeunder and said, "I don’t have this thick mane down to my b**t, I don’t have lash extensions, I don’t have these long claws."
She further claimed that she is "stripping down a little bit" regarding her looks, as per Page Six.
However, Kylie refused to comment on whether her relationship with the 'Wonka' actor has anything to do with her style change. When asked about Chalamet’s influence, Kylie replied sternly, "I don’t know how I feel about that."
Amid the rumor of her breakup with Chalamet, Kylie even added, "I just don’t want to talk about personal things." Kylie and Chalamet, who were photographed kissing during the 2024 Golden Globes have not been seen together publicly since January.
Nevertheless, she admitted that her evolution came after the first birthday of her son Aire, whom she shares with her ex Travis Scott.
She explained, "It takes me a while after I have a baby to feel like myself again. You get your body back, and you’re like, 'Wait, the trends have changed.'"
Kylie Jenner's Khy is an ode to her 'King Kylie' era
Despite changing her style to a more subtle, soft 'Barbiecore' at the beginning of 2024 by dying her hair pink, the makeup mogul admitted that the aesthetic of 'King Kylie' is at her core.
Talking to The Wall Street Journal about her clothing line Khy, the 26-year-old noted, "The whole line is really inspired by my personal wardrobe and the different moods that I’m in. [That’s] who I am at my core."
