Kylie Jenner sued by ex-housekeeper alleging ‘mockery’, discrimination at workplace
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A former housekeeper of socialite and businesswoman Kylie Jenner has filed a lawsuit on Friday, April 17, making serious allegations related to her employment in the reality star’s household.
The complaint involves claims of unpaid wages, unfair working conditions, and being assigned duties outside her primary job scope. The case also references actor Timothee Chalamet, adding further attention to the dispute.
Former housekeeper alleges harassment and discrimination in Kylie Jenner’s household
According to court documents, the housekeeper, Angelica Vasquez, states she worked for Jenner beginning in September 2024 and continued until August 2025. The lawsuit names the The Kardashians star, along with her company, Kylie Jenner Inc, as defendants.
Vasquez claimed, “During her employment, [Angelica] was directed by Defendants to travel to and perform work at locations other than her primary work site, including [Kylie’s] boyfriend’s residence on multiple occasions.”
The housekeeper further stated that she bore the associated expenses, including “mileage and transportation costs,” without receiving any reimbursement.
Chalamet and Jenner began dating in April 2023 and remain together. According to the lawsuit, Vasquez also alleged that she was subjected to “demeaning comments” from fellow staff members regarding her Salvadorian heritage and immigration status, as well as “mockery and belittlement” because of her accent.
She further claimed that her Catholic religion was ridiculed at Jenner’s compound, adding that the situation escalated in March 2025 when she raised her complaints for the second time, as the supervisor got “violent” and started throwing hangers at her feet while “reprimanding” her.
Lawsuit details wage violations and emotional distress claims
Angelica also alleged a series of wage violations, including “failure to pay all wages earned, late and missing pay for extended periods, failure to pay overtime, failure to provide meal and rest periods, and failure to reimburse business expenses.”
She further claimed to have experienced “serious emotional distress” as a result of her treatment, stating that she “suffered and will continue to suffer extreme humiliation, embarrassment, anxiety, mental anguish, and emotional distress.”
Vasquez claimed that staff “demanded to inspect” her phone, “berated” her despite “following instructions,” and “accused her of speaking negatively about them.” Less than a year into her employment, she resigned after her repeated complaints went unaddressed.
Vasquez has demanded a jury trial, while sources close to Jenner’s Hidden Hills household told TMZ that she was a junior employee who allegedly had attendance issues and other workplace concerns.
The lawsuit comes as the The Kardashians star attended the second weekend of the Coachella music festival, where she was joined by close friend Anastasia ‘Stassie’ Karanikolaou while watching singer Justin Bieber’s headline performance.
