She revealed that the two tied the knot shortly after a brief dating period.

The pair first crossed paths in 2019 when Del Rey visited Louisiana and took a tour of the local swamps, guided by Dufrene.

While their speedy nuptials came as a shock to many, close friends have hinted at the singer’s tendency toward spontaneity, especially in matters of the heart.

“Lana is very impulsive, and she’s always had a thing for older men, so in some ways, this isn’t all that out of character,” a source shared.

“But people around her are concerned she’s jumped into this way too quickly,” the source added.

Friends of the singer have expressed concerns regarding the couple’s contrasting lifestyles.

Del Rey, a Hollywood artist known for her moody, cinematic music, and Dufrene, a Louisiana alligator tour guide deeply rooted in bayou culture, may face challenges adapting to each other’s worlds.

“The reality is she and Jeremy come from drastically different worlds. Their lives couldn’t be more opposite,” one insider commented.

“Sure, she’s having fun now, but when the novelty wears off, it’s hard to imagine she’ll want to give up her Hollywood life long-term,” they added.

Amid their whirlwind romance, the couple has already encountered issues with privacy due to Del Rey’s public life.

The 'Brooklyn Baby' singer recently took to social media to express frustration over invasive behavior from fans and paparazzi, including a local couple from Houma flying drones near their windows.

“If Sara Michelle Champagne and Kruesch (a New Orleans paparazzi) could stop switching vehicles following the family… I know we would feel a lot safer,” Del Rey commented on a fan account post.

The couple’s life on the bayou has not shielded them from relentless attention.

But Del Rey insisted that the relationship is worth it, adding, “All that being said, Jeremy is the one and only. And amazing. And we’re very happy.”

Jeremy Dufrene’s ex-fiancee in 'shock' over Lana Del Rey wedding

Jeremy Dufrene’s former fiancee, Kelli Welsh, shared her reaction to the news, revealing her surprise at his sudden marriage.

“I am in shock because we were engaged for 12 years, and he got married after one month,” Welsh said in an interview.

Despite her surprise, she expressed support for Dufrene.

“He needed to get out of his comfort zone. He was used to bayou life… He is deserving of this blessing,” she said, according to OK Magazine.
