Lara Trump shares adorable snaps of POTUS and granddaughter Carolina in golf cart
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Lara Trump offered her social media followers a rare peek at President Donald Trump on grandpa duty behind the scenes.
The president’s daughter-in-law shared photos of her six-year-old daughter, Carolina Dorothy Trump, six, enjoying a day on the golf course with her grandfather.
Netizens fawn over Grandpa Trump
Taking to Instagram, Lara posted four photographs that show her daughter beaming as she rides in a golf cart with Trump at the wheel.
Lara captioned the photos, “Golfing with Grandpa.”
Fans quickly swarmed the comments section with messages of love.
One gushed, “This is so darling. My favorite moments of our president, being a grand papa.”
Another commenter added, “He's such a great grandpa!!!”
One user chimed in, “Lucky girlie!! Lucky grandpa!!! Love your family and our president so much.”

Trump's relationship with his grandchildren
The golf course photos are the latest in a series of snaps and clips that show Trump’s relationship with his grandchildren.
Last year, Trump’s eldest granddaughter, Kai Madison Trump (the daughter of Donald Trump Jr and Vanessa Trump), spoke at the 2024 Republican National Convention.
“I’m speaking today to share the side of my grandpa that people don’t often see,” Kai told the crowd.
“To me, he’s just a normal grandpa. He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking. He always wants to know how we’re doing in school. When I made the high honor roll, he printed it out to show his friends how proud he was of me.”
“Grandpa, you are such an inspiration, and I love you,” she added.

One of the most memorable examples of Trump’s grandpa persona came during a 2024 rally in North Carolina, where his grandchildren unexpectedly became the main attraction.
Holding Carolina at the podium, Trump introduced her to the crowd.
“We also have a very important member of my family. Far more important than Eric or Lara. And her name is Carolina. And she's beautiful and she's sweet and she doesn't know how evil life is,” he quipped.
Carolina then leaned into the microphone and adorably flubbed the slogan, “Make America great again,” prompting cheers and laughter from the audience.

The crowd also started chanting her name, "CAROLINA! CAROLINA! CAROLINA!"

Moments later, Carolina's sibling, seven-year-old Luke, joined them on stage. Trump whispered instructions in his ear and hoped for a similar chant. Instead, Luke proudly announced, “Vote for grandpa.”
Trump laughed and explained to the crowd, “I whispered into his ear, so cute, I said, 'Say MAGA.' He said, 'Vote for grandpa.' He didn't care what I said and that was actually much better.”

Family members have long said Trump’s role as a grandfather has brought out a calmer, more relaxed version of the former New York real estate mogul.
Don Jr reflected on that shift during a 2015 ABC interview with Barbara Walters. “He's at a different stage in his life. He's able to relax a little bit more and be a grandfather,” he said. “I can see my kids just running up to him and giving a hug. They just respect him a lot.”
