WASHINGTON, DC: Donald Trump's grandchildren were the unexpected stars of his historic second inauguration day, capturing hearts with their endearing antics and stealing the spotlight from the president.

Among the standout moments were Trump’s grandchildren, Luke and Carolina, the children of Eric and Lara Trump, who took the stage at the victory rally on the eve of the inauguration.

Luke and Carolina, aged 7 and 5 respectively, recited the Pledge of Allegiance with enthusiasm, much to the delight of the crowd.

Carolina was dressed in a whimsical costume, complete with ruby slippers and a blue fan, while Luke clutched a toy rabbit as he joined his sister onstage. The adorable brother-sister duo quickly became social media sensations, with viewers praising their cuteness and spunk, The Sun reported.

During the Inauguration Day events, Trump’s younger grandchildren made memorable appearances.

At a morning church service at St John’s Episcopal Church, Ivanka Trump was seen looking after her children, Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore, as they struggled to keep their eyes open. Joseph, 10, and Theodore, 8, appeared exhausted from the excitement of the day, with Ivanka smiling lovingly as they dozed off in their pews.

At the Capitol Rotunda, the camera also caught moments of youthful energy as Trump’s grandchildren made faces, some too overwhelmed by the day’s events to stay alert.
