Lauren Alaina also expressed excitement about witnessing her husband step into the role of a father.
"I'm looking forward to watching my husband be a dad. He is so obsessed with our animals; he's a big nurturer in general," Alaina said.
"In fact, when I was getting ready to marry him, that was something that I knew would be one of the best things about being his wife, was being able to parent with him," she added.
The news of their growing family has brought hope and healing to Alaina and her loved ones, especially after the death of her father in July.

"I do think that my dad passed away and got a stair up in heaven and was like, 'Hey, we got to work something out down there to send the family something good.' And it has been such an unexpected blessing," Alaina shared.
"We obviously still talk about and are dealing with the grief of my dad, but this baby has healed a lot of that for us ... like it's a little piece of my dad that will live on," she added.
Lauren Alaina on pregnancy fatigue
While her pregnancy has been smooth so far, Alaina opened up about one unexpected challenge.
“I haven’t felt ‘any sickness’ yet, but I’m experiencing ‘a level of tiredness that I did not know existed in this world,’” she said.
The baby’s arrival will be a significant milestone for Alaina and Cam Arnold, who tied the knot nearly a year ago on February 14, 2024.
The pair first met in Riviera Cancun, Mexico for Luke Bryan’s annual Crash My Playa music event. While backstage of the event, they crossed paths at a taco stand where they had their first conversation.
“Apparently I ate my tacos really fast and he was like, ‘Nobody’s gonna take those tacos away from you!’ First thing he ever said to me. And that was when I knew,” she shared with Entertainment Tonight.
