DENVER, COLORADO: The internet has been giving Lauren Boebert, a US representative from Colorado, a hard time. This all started when her son, Tyler Boebert, charged for breaking into cars and carrying out property thefts, said he couldn't afford a lawyer.

This isn't the first time Boebert has found herself in hot water. Last December, it was reported that she allegedly got drunk at an annual Republican party event where it was also alleged that she tried to force former President Donald Trump into clicking some selfies.

Lauren Boebert's son Tyler Boebert appears in court against car break-ins and property theft charges

According to Westword, Lauren's oldest son, 19-year-old Tyler, showed up at Garfield County Court solo on April 11, dressed up in an all-black suit.

He looked sharp as he faced charges related to car break-ins and property thefts allegedly committed earlier this year in Rifle. Judge John F Neiley took note of Tyler's attire and said, "Thank you for the attire. I appreciate it when people dress for court."

Despite his dapper appearance, Tyler revealed he was struggling to find a lawyer he could afford for his felony case.

He said, "We are working to hire an attorney, but it's just been kind of hard with the prices. Worst-case scenario, if we can't get something figured out with the lawyer, then we're going to apply for a public defender or whatever works best for me."

Tyler explained that he's currently gathering evidence for his case and was advised by defense attorneys to wait for the official charges before hiring a lawyer.

Judge Neiley listed the fourteen charges against Tyler, including felony counts for identity theft carrying a possible sentence of two to six years, and misdemeanors for criminal trespass with a potential sentence of up to 364 days in jail and fines up to $1,000, as stated by Westword.

Neiley suggested Tyler apply for a public defender while he continues his search for a lawyer. He said, "I always think it's a good idea to maybe do both because if you qualify, you have options. We can set this off for a little bit of time for you to make that decision."

Westword mentions that the felony charges are related to car thefts on February 19 and 20 in Rifle, where Tyler and some underage friends allegedly targeted multiple victims, including a woman with a brain tumor who had only $75 to her name.

According to police, Tyler and his friends stole wallets and credit cards, attempting to make purchases with them.

Internet users say Lauren Boebert should be impeached

A user wrote, "She obviously needs to be impeached."

Another user wrote, "So Lauren Boebert's son will have an attorney paid for by the people of Colorado. Isn't that, ur, SOCIALISM, Lauren?"

A user commented, "So @laurenboebert and her $40 million she earned as a congresswoman can’t hire an attorney and she’ll just pass the bill to the Colorado State Tax Payers? Perfect.!"

Another user commented, "Direct result of @laurenboebert's pathetic 'family values'. 🙄."

A user stated, "So mama Bobo won’t even pay for her sons attorney."
