MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Colorado GOP Representative Lauren Boebert was allegedly inebriated at a Republican gala at the Cipriani Ballroom in New York City.

According to reports from the New York Post, the firebrand Republican already had a substantial amount of alcohol when the servers at the event refused to give her more.

CNN further reported that Boebert had been pestering former president Donald Trump for several selfies during the same event, prompting his security personnel to intervene.

However, witnesses have since come forward to deny the allegations made against Boebert.

What did organizers and attendees say about drunk Lauren Boebert’s antics at GOP gala?

During an annual Republican gala event in December 2023, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert was seated at the marquee table alongside several notable conservative hardliners, including Steve Bannon, Florida GOP Representative Corey Mills, club president Gavin Wax, and former president Donald Trump.

Despite rumors to the contrary, the event attendees confirmed that Boebert was not denied access to alcohol.

However, it has been reported that her behavior may have caused some irritation to the former POTUS.

One witness revealed, “She came over between Gavin Wax and President Trump and tried to take a selfies with the two of them. After taking a few and being unhappy with how they looked she tried to take more selfies but she was pushed away by President Trump who said, ‘That’s enough.'”

New York Young Republican Club President Gavin Wax said, “Everyone knows the New York Young Republican Club throws the best galas.”

“If you’re asking if Congresswoman Boebert had a good time at one of our galas, the answer is ‘I hope so,'” he remarked.

After the celebrations ended, the Colorado lawmaker continued partying until the early hours at the Beach Cafe on the Upper East Side, where she was joined by Representative Byron Donalds (R-Florida) and former GOP representative George Santos.

In March 2024, Trump extended his full and unwavering support to Lauren Boebert.

Boebert's associates argue that this endorsement is evidence that the December incident did not significantly affect the 77-year-old MAGA strongman’s opinion of her.

They also believe that her exuberant and vociferous personality can occasionally be misinterpreted, particularly by people who are unfamiliar with her.

Internet trolls Lauren Boebert's drunken stupor at glitzy Republican gala

People on X ridiculed the Colorado GOP congresswoman, who often finds herself mired in controversy, this time, for her apparent drunkenness at an annual GOP gala event in New York City.

One X user remarked, "Oh cut her a break if I worked in Washington and was unable to do anything to help my Constituents I’d be Hammered every once and a while also"

Another user said, "Shame on her."

Another user wrote, "This Congresswoman needs to stop acting like a REAL LOSER!!"

One user claimed, "She is an absolute train wreck. Her family fell apart largely because of her actions. Go home and try to repair what is left of it, Lauren. This power and greed isn't worth it."

Another X user asked, "Booze, hotel rooms, and Lauren Boebert— what else did they expect?"

One person tweeted, "The dumbest person in congress is also a drunken mess."
