LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Basketball star LeBron James welcomed his son Bronny James Jr as a teammate on Monday, September 30, as the pair made their public debut at the Laker's media day.

The Los Angeles Lakers had picked up the Bronny in the June NBA draft. He wore a number 9 jersey with James Jr written across his back at the event, while LeBron sported his traditional number 23.

"Just super proud. Super proud of him to get to this point. He's a man. He's ready to go. Whatever questions you got for him, go ahead and let him have it," he added.

LeBron had previously stated that he did not want Bronny to call him "Dad" while they were on the court. When the interviewer asked the junior if he had come up with an alternative way to address his father as training begins the next day, he cheekily replied, "I haven't gotten there yet. It's probably gonna be, like, Bron. Bron would be the easiest."
