'Let her take a break': Internet supports Britney Spears as source claims she has no new album in works
THOUSANDS OAKS, CALIFORNIA: The internet has come out in support of Britney Spears quashing rumors about working on a new (10th) album in a candid Instagram post, asserting that she will "never return to the music industry"
Responding to reports, seemingly from Page Six, suggesting collaborations with Charli XCX and Julia Michaels for her first album in almost a decade, Spears refuted the claims, stating the project is only beginning.
'There's loads you don't know about me'
In a now-deleted Instagram post made on Januray 3, the singer clarified, "Just so we're clear, most of the news is trash!!! They keep saying I'm turning to random people for a new album... I will never return to the music industry!! When I write, it's for fun or for other people!! For those who have read my book, there's loads you don't know about me...".
Now with several media outlets reporting her claims, fans have come out in support of the singer. On a Facebook post made by TMZ, people commented, "It was brutal inside for her.. let her take a break.. she will do when her heart is ready again. For now, enjoy your life Britney!".
"Yes live your life to the fullest."
"She can do what she wants. Let her live her life."
"It would be great if Britney could live her life without this constant commentary on what she is or isn’t doing. She’s sacrificed enough through the years."
Other comments read, "Just finished her book. All I can say is, live your life!."
"Good for you beautiful. Enjoy a well deserved wonderful life."
"She's been working since she was like 7? She deserves to live life now on her terms..you go girl."
Britney Spears calls herself 'so loved and blessed'
Reports suggest that despite claims of Charli XCX and Julia Michaels being tapped to pen tracks for Britney, there's no communication between their camps. While a musical comeback may not be her current priority, sources hint that Britney might change her tune in the future.
Britney's music took a back seat in recent years as she fought to break free from her conservatorship. Despite the success of her efforts, it strained her relationship with her dad, Jamie Spears.
Recent gestures, particularly amid news of his leg amputation, suggest an attempt at reconciliation. Fans, eagerly awaiting new music since 'Glory' eight years ago, would undoubtedly welcome a new album if Britney decides to focus on music once again.
According to Deadline, Spears addressed another speculation, clarifying that her memoir, 'The Woman In Me', was released with her cooperation.
“People are also saying MY BOOK WAS RELEASED WITHOUT MY APPROVAL ILLEGALLY and that’s far from the truth,” she wrote. “ … have you read the news these days ??? I’m so LOVED and blessed !!!” she said.
