WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News host and staunch conservative commentator Mark Levin, like several other Republican supporters, has raised questions over the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between Iran and the US to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Levin made X posts on Thursday, June 18, questioning the terms of the deal and warning that Vice President JD Vance, who has been leading the US negotiations with Tehran, will regret his Iran diplomacy down the road.

Mark Levin slams JD Vance over Iran deal remarks

Shortly after JD Vance’s White House press conference, where he urged Republicans to have faith in President Donald Trump over a potential final deal with Iran, Mark Levin launched a scathing attack against the vice president, saying the 2028 presidential candidate is revealing himself.

“He is the person who has had the courage to fundamentally transform our relationship with Iran and with a lot of other countries over the last year and a half. He believes in this deal," Vance said during the press conference.

"He is going to see it to completion, and if the Iranians don’t comply, we still have every single tool and point of leverage that we have today," he added.

Levin said in his post, "I think it’s terrific that people who will likely seek the GOP nomination for president are revealing themselves. Amazing how Iran is being talked about as increasingly reasonable and moderate as Israel is being smeared left and Woke Right."

“Here’s a novel idea: stop bullying our ally and cozying up to our enemy,” he added in a follow-up.

Mark Levin criticized JD Vance over Mohammad Ghalibaf photo op

In an earlier tweet on Thursday, Levin responded to Vance’s declaration that he is “not uncomfortable” with the idea of a photo op alongside Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf.

“Fwiw, bad idea,” commented Levin, before adding that Vance will regret the idea of standing beside top officials of a radical regime.

“You’ll regret it certainly down the road. But always a bad idea to stand with a top official of a regime that killed and maimed thousands of Americans and tens of thousands of Iranians just a few months ago,” Levin’s earlier post read.

The deal has faced criticism from a wide range of elected Republicans and other prominent conservatives.
