Liam Payne under fire for upstaging Niall Horan at his concert as fans call out 'attention-seeking vibes'

BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA: Liam Payne sparked fans' curiosity about his true intentions after attending former bandmate Niall Horan's concert in Argentina on October 2.

The 31-year-old 'For You' artist was seen enjoying himself at the concert of his fellow One Direction member, also 31.

However, fans were not convinced that Liam was at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires solely to support his friend, accusing him of making the night about himself.

In the viral videos, Liam Payne was seen dancing and clapping along to 'Summer Nights' from Grease as the song blared from the loudspeakers, per Billboard. 

In another viral video, the 'Teardrops' artist was spotted dancing to Los Del Río's iconic 'Macarena' while fans filmed from the lower deck.

Later, when Niall took the stage, Liam enjoyed the 'This Town' singer's solo rendition of One Direction's 2014 song 'Stockholm Syndrome'.

While concertgoers seemed delighted to meet him, fans online criticized Liam for attempting to steal Niall's spotlight during his Argentine concert.

Wearing a black jacket and pants, the English singer engaged with the crowd, even reaching out to touch the hand of a concertgoer who was trying to get his attention.

In another video that went viral, fans speculated that security was trying to stop Liam from dancing with the audience members on the lower deck.

Liam's presence at Niall's concert came just a month after their bandmate Harry Styles was seen enjoying himself at the 'Slow Hands' singer's concert in Manchester on August 27.

However, fans were not pleased with videos of Liam Payne dancing and interacting with attendees, accusing him of trying to steal the spotlight at Niall Horan's concert.

One of the social media users called him out, saying, "He’s trying so hard to be the main character."

Someone else slammed, "That’s the difference between actually being friends and doing everything for attention!"

"Let’s not give Liam the attention Ike wants," said another user. 

Another troll added, "Trying to stay relevant by using his ex band mates fans."

Someone else noted, "If 'i have to find a way to make this about myself' was a person😭😭😭."

Another user referenced Harry Styles attending another Niall Horan concert, saying, "Harry stayed under the radar when he went to his show but see him seeking attention lol."

"Omg everyone there is giving me second hand embarrassment," admitted a user.

Another user noted, "Looks like Liam just can't shake off those attention-seeking vibes, no matter what he does!"

Someone else, meanwhile, said, "He’s just doing stuff knowing that he’s being recorded. Like, he could’ve at least offer to take selfies or shake hands or something." [sic]
