Danielle Peazer, who dated Liam Payne from 2010 to 2012, took to Instagram to express her sorrow.
Her post included photos documenting her recent travels in October, concluding with a poignant poem by Donna Ashworth about grief.
“You don't move on after loss, but you must move with. You must shake hands with grief, welcome her in, for she lives with you now,” read the poem shared by Peazer.
Prior to his death, Payne had reached out to Peazer to congratulate her on the birth of her daughter, Mia, whom she recently welcomed with her partner, Sonny.
Peazer shared that Payne had expressed happiness for her during their last conversation, which took place just weeks before his tragic death.
Details emerge about Liam Payne's tragic incident
New details have surfaced regarding Liam Payne’s death, suggesting foul play rather than suicide.
According to Argentine news outlet Infobae, authorities have arrested three suspects in connection with the incident.
These include a 21-year-old hotel employee and a 24-year-old alleged drug dealer.
Both are accused of supplying Payne with narcotics in the days leading up to his death.
The 21-year-old suspect, who reportedly worked at the Casa Sur Hotel, is believed to have provided cocaine to the 'Teardrops' singer on multiple occasions.
The 24-year-old suspect, from Berazategui, a suburb southeast of Buenos Aires, allegedly had connections to Payne and supplied him with drugs shortly before his fatal fall.
Allegations of negligence and ongoing investigations in Liam Payne's death
Authorities are also investigating a third suspect who is accused of abandoning Liam Payne when he was in a vulnerable state.
However, Rogelio “Roger” Nores, a close friend of Payne’s, has vehemently denied allegations that he was involved.
Nores insisted he would never have left Payne in such a dire situation, according to Daily Mail.
Prosecutors have ruled out any possibility of suicide, clarifying that Payne was in a state of “semi or total unconsciousness” at the time of the fall.
They believe he may not have been fully aware of his actions, which led to his death.
