BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA: Liam Payne's secondary school is remembering the talented singer after his sudden death.

On Thursday, October 17, St Peter's Collegiate Academy shared a Facebook post honoring the artist, saying, “We are deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of our former student, Liam Payne.”

“During his time at St Peter's Collegiate Academy, Liam was not only well-liked by his peers and teachers but also recognised for his talents. He made a positive impact on our school community, and his contributions will be remembered,” the post continued.

It concluded, “Our thoughts are with Liam's family and friends during this difficult time. We extend our sincere condolences to all those affected by his passing.”

The Wolverhampton, England-based school also quoted a Bible verse: "Above everything, love one another earnestly. — 1 Peter 4:8," reported People.



 

Liam Payne's family breaks silence on singer's death

Earlier, Liam Payne’s family issued a heartbreaking statement after the singer tragically died at the age of 31.

According to the Policia Federal Argentina, Payne died after falling several stories at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, October 16.

In the statement released following Payne's death, his family said, "Liam will forever live in our hearts and we'll remember him for his kind, funny, and brave soul."

"We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time," they added.

A relative close to the Payne family shared that the family is "devastated" by this tragic loss, according to The Sun.

Payne leaves behind a seven-year-old son, Bear, whom he shared with his ex-partner, singer Cheryl Cole.

Dermot O'Leary, the longtime host of 'The X Factor' show, posted a black-and-white photo of Payne from his time on the show and shared fond memories of the singer.

"I remember him as a 14-year-old turning up to audition on The X Factor, and blowing us away singing Sinatra. He just loved to sing," O'Leary said.

"He was always a joy, had time for everyone, polite, grateful, and was always humble. Sending love and prayers to his family," he further wrote.
