NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The internet exploded this week when late acclaimed physicist Stephen Hawking was unexpectedly entangled in the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Newly unsealed court documents suggest renowned scientist Hawking may have allegedly once attended an 'underage orgy' hosted by the convicted sex offender Epstein before his initial arrest.

The bombshell allegation emerged as part of defamation lawsuit brought by Virginia Giuffre, an alleged Epstein victim who says she was trafficked for sex as a teenager, as per Daily Mail.

The documents are part of a defamation lawsuit brought by Virginia Giuffre against Epstein's former girlfriend and alleged madam Ghislaine Maxwell. Giuffre claims she was sexually trafficked by the couple as a teenager.

In a January 2015 email contained in the unsealed files, Epstein told Maxwell she could offer money to Giuffre’s friends if they would help disprove allegations Giuffre made about Epstein hosting former President Bill Clinton on his private island, as well as about Hawking’s alleged participation in an underage orgy.

“You can issue a reward to any of Virginia's friends, acquaints (sic), family that come forward and help prove her allegations are false,” Epstein wrote to Maxwell about Giuffre’s claims. “The strongest is the Clinton dinner, and the new version in the Virgin Islands that Stephen Hawking participated in an underage orgy.”

Epstein did not provide further details about the alleged orgy or explain his interest in disproving the claims. The email was one of nearly 1,000 pages of documents unsealed this week by a U.S. court as part of Giuffre’s lawsuit against Maxwell.

Stephen Hawking was hosted by Jeffrey Epstein months before first arrest in 2006

Professor Hawking, the legendary physicist who died in 2018, was hosted by Epstein at a 2006 conference in the U.S. Virgin Islands, five months before Epstein's initial arrest for soliciting prostitution.

Photos show Hawking enjoying a barbecue and taking an underwater trip in a submarine that Epstein had customized for the disabled physicist. It is unknown if Hawking spent any time on Epstein’s private 'Island of Sin,' which reportedly hosted frequent gatherings with young girls.

While the photos place Hawking in Epstein’s circle months before the financier’s arrest, no evidence has emerged to support Giuffre’s claims about the scientist’s alleged involvement in an underage orgy.
