NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Lil Tay has gone viral on the internet after apparently hijacking the Creators Inc runway at New York Fashion Week.

Though the 19-year-old’s step was condemned, her catwalk received appreciation.

Lil Tay was removed by security guards after she hijacks runway

The incident reportedly happened on Sunday, September 13, as the clip shared on X showed a model doing her catwalk when suddenly Lil Tay emerged on the stage.

She can be seen walking in style and greeting the model before security guards ran toward her.

The Canadian internet personality and musician tried to get away from their clutches but one of them held her tightly and escorted her off the stage.

Creators Inc CEO Andy Bachman says Lil Tay 'should consider a catwalk'

Following the incident, Creators Inc CEO Andy Bachman spoke with TMZ

He said, “I don't condone spoiling months of preparation, but I'll admit that girl mogged the entire room,” before adding, “She should consider a catwalk, preferably with a booking next time.”

This comes a few years after rumors spread that Lil Tay had died. At the time, false reports also claimed that her brother had passed away.

Lil Tay was falsely declared dead

In August 2023, a post appeared on her Instagram page, announcing her death. Later, when her father Chris Hope was asked for comment, he simply replied, “Yeah, you have the right person, but I don’t have any comment right now,” as per The New York Post.

“I’m not able to give you any comment right now. I’m sorry — I can’t,” Hope had stated at the time, before adding, “Sorry, I can’t really comment or give you any help — I’m just going to let you go.”

The Post also contacted the Vancouver Police Department and a representative had replied, “We haven’t gotten any reports of either death here. As of now, we are not aware and are not investigating.”

But Henry Tsang, an ex-manager of Lil Tay, had cast doubt over the news.

He reportedly said, “I have been in communication with individuals who have an intimate understanding of the family’s situation. Given the complexities of the current circumstances, I am at a point where I cannot definitively confirm or dismiss the legitimacy of the statement issued by the family.”

Lil Tay claimed her Instagram account was 'compromised'

Eventually, the truth came out when Lil Tay finally spoke to TMZ, saying, “I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours.”

“All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess. My Instagram account was compromised by a 3rd party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumors regarding me, to the point that even my name was wrong. My legal name is Tay Tian, not ‘Claire Hope,'" she added.
