ANCHORAGE, ALASKA: President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin reunited this week at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska, marking their first in-person meeting in six years.

The highly anticipated encounter centered on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, but a lip reader’s analysis of their private exchange has drawn fresh attention.

Trump appeared to show instant support for Putin during their meeting, as a lip reader caught him murmuring, "I'll help you."

As the two leaders shook hands on the tarmac, President Trump appeared “somewhat impatient,” with his first word reportedly being “Finally.”

At the tarmac, when reporters asked, “When will you stop killing civilians?” the Russian president merely shrugged, suggesting he either didn’t hear or chose not to respond.

According to The Daily Mail’s lip reader, Trump greeted Putin with the words: “You made it, fantastic to see you, and appreciated.” Putin is said to have responded, “Thank you, and you. I am here to help you.”

Trump said "I’ll help you" in response, prompting Putin to say he would “bring it to a rest,” a phrase the interpreter suggested could be a reference to the war in Ukraine. The Russian leader added, “All they need is to ask,” to which Trump responded, “I hope it does.”

The two then proceeded toward a waiting limousine. Trump reportedly remarked, “Come on, let’s get straight into the vehicle. We need to move forward, both giving it attention. I know this is serious; it’s quite long. What a journey it is.”

Perhaps the most intriguing moment came when Vladimir Putin allegedly leaned toward Donald Trump with a request: “Give me the scoop.” Trump’s reply, according to the lip reader, was, “It’s cargo fuel.” The context of this cryptic remark remains unclear.

Before entering their vehicle, Trump reportedly instructed Putin to shake his hand again, explaining that “it gives a good impression.” Putin responded with a simple, “Thank you.”

Trump welcomed Putin on a red carpet in Anchorage, Alaska, before the two leaders held their summit. Following the talks, Trump called the meeting “very productive,” though he cautioned that “there’s no deal until there’s a deal.”

He added that while “many points were agreed to, there are just a few that are left,” but stressed that “we didn’t get there, but we have a very good chance of getting there.”
