Logan Fentress: Louisville man arrested twice in a week after speeding through crash scene doing burnout
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY: Louisville resident Logan Fentress, 28, found himself in the spotlight not once but twice within the span of a week for his high-speed escapades that landed him behind bars.
The first arrest unfolded in a heart-stopping manner as Fentress sped through the aftermath of a fatal car crash scene under police investigation at the intersection of New Cut Road and Brown Austin Road, near Outer Loop, on Saturday night, February 24.
Logan Fentress' brazen high-speed dash through crime scene
The Louisville Metro Police Department had the area secured, with emergency lights ablaze and eight vehicles marking the perimeter. Ignoring the gravity of the situation, Fentress executed a burnout, forcing a passenger to surrender their gun before careening around a marked police vehicle blocking the roadway.
As officers worked diligently at the crash site, the 28-year-old accelerated toward them at an alarming speed, prompting swift evasive maneuvers by the police. Undeterred, he continued his hazardous journey, eluding the scene before eventually being apprehended near a house driveway, as per WDRB.
What are the charges against Logan Fentress?
Fentress reportedly exhibited aggression and combativeness during the arrest. His list of charges includes wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
This arrest, however, wasn't Fentress's only run-in with the law in the past week.
Logan Fentress' prior arrest on National Turnpike
Just days earlier, Fentress was arrested for a separate incident on the National Turnpike. Allegedly speeding and changing lanes without signaling, his vehicle emitted a strong odor of alcohol and marijuana, leading to charges of speeding, trafficking marijuana, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
Vermont man sentenced for killing daughters in car crash
Vermont resident Jordan Couture, a father responsible for the tragic deaths of his two daughters in a similar high-induced car accident, broke down as the judge delivered a minimum three-year prison sentence. The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to various charges, including negligent homicide, stemming from the collision that claimed the lives of his daughters, 10-year-old Kyriana, and 7-year-old Kelsey.
The fatal incident occurred in December 2021 on the I-93 in Littlejohn, New Hampshire, where Couture's speeding truck rolled over, ejecting his unbuckled daughters who succumbed to their injuries at the scene, as reported earlier by MEAWW.
Couture's license was suspended at the time, his truck was unregistered, and the presence of unprescribed drugs was detected in his system.
