KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Lorie Kruse, the girlfriend of David Harrington, one of the three Kansas City Chiefs fans who died mysteriously in a friend’s backyard, has denied rumors that he was addicted to drugs.

She said he was “a very good guy” who was “in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Kruse told NewsNation that she believes David Harrington, 37, was murdered, along with Ricky Johnson ,38, and Clayton McGeeney, 36, who were also found dead in the backyard of Jordan Willis’ home in Kansas City, Missouri, on January 9.

“David was murdered,” she said, adding “It does not make any sense to have three men dead, laying in the yard and him asleep for 48 hours.”

She also said that police have not given much information about the case, which is not being treated as a homicide.

“David wasn’t a drug addict like they’re talking about,” Kruse said, adding “He was a good guy. Very good guy.”

Kruse also expressed her frustration and anger at the social media trolls who have been making fun of the deaths on TikTok.

She said that her children have seen the videos and that they are hurtful and disrespectful.

“TikTok’s terrible. People are laughing about it … because they don’t know these people, and my kids see that,” Kruse said.

“I’ve been open with them and we’re dealing with it and we’re learning from it.”

She said that she and her six children, who have lost their father, are grieving along with the families and friends of Johnson and McGeeney.

“We have six children that don’t have a dad, we have families, we have friends, and we’re all hurting and I don’t want to hear what everybody has to say, but I do,” Kruse said.

She wants the world to know that, “David was a good guy. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Jennifer Marquez, Harrington’s mother, also said that she thinks Willis knows what happened that night and that he should come forward and tell the truth.

She said that he is the only one who can give some peace to the families of the deceased.

“I believe Jordan does know. And I’m asking Jordan to please come forward and tell the truth because he does know what happened that night. …," she said.

"He’s the only one that can give all of our families some peace,” Marquez told the station.
