'Love Is Blind' stars Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis announce split

The split announcement occurred barely three months after Tyler Francis, 35, acknowledged in scenes from the Netflix series that he donated his sperm to father three children before the show filming began.

At that time, Tyler claimed that his donation was for a couple who "couldn't afford a sperm donor". He even admitted to Adionser that he wasn't sure if his children "even knew what he looks like".

Addressing the split, Ashley told People: "After much reflection, I want to share that Tyler and I have been separated for several weeks and have now made the difficult decision to end our marriage."

"While I had hoped for mutual understanding and transparency in our relationship, it has become clear that our paths are no longer aligned, making it impossible for me to continue in this marriage," she added.

Ashley continued: "This was not a decision I made lightly, but one I know is necessary for my own growth and peace. While this chapter is ending, I will always hold respect for the time and love we shared."

"I kindly ask for privacy during this deeply personal time as I focus on healing and building a new future. Thank you for your understanding and support," she concluded.

Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis' relationship ends amid paternity scandal

After meeting and becoming engaged without even seeing each other's faces, Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis became one of the strongest pairs of the season. The duo eventually got married in the Season 7 finale of 'Love Is Blind'.

Their relationship took a turn for the worse when Tyler revealed that he was a sperm donor and had three biological children. At that time he asserted that he had no connection with the children and did not even know what they looked like.

The account manager dropped this sperm donation bombshell just two weeks before their wedding. Ashley later expressed her concerns about carrying on their romance during the episode.

"I left. I needed to separate and get by myself and just get my thoughts together. I just don't understand how our superpower seems like it's not our superpower anymore," Ashley said at the time.

"I feel like we had such great communication and I don't understand how two weeks before our wedding you drop this kind of bomb," she added, per Daily Mail.

Though Ashley was initially offended by the disclosure, she eventually came to terms with it, and the two proceeded with their engagement before getting married in the Season 7 finale.

However, a social media leak during the show's airing revealed that Tyler was in a more serious relationship with the children than he was admitting.

Netizens circulated pictures of him and the children wearing the same pajamas on Christmas morning, along with claims that he "abandoned" his children to appear on the show and owed child support.

Tyler clarified the situation during the Season 7 reunion, stating that while he did "help a friend and her wife start a family," he "voluntarily" took on the role of child care provider after his friend's wife left.

Additionally, he admitted that he purposefully misled others about his children's appearance in order to preserve their privacy.

Tyler said, "There's pictures of me around. I played a part that became very shaky with a friend... but I do want to let people know Ashley knows all this. This is news to the world, this has never been news to us, and I'm giving this explanation now because I feel like the world is waiting for it, but I don't owe anyone an explanation but my wife and if she's sitting here with me...."

Ashley, for her part, corroborated his claims and blasted whoever believed she was totally ignorant of the circumstances. She made it clear that Tyler never desired to bring up the subject on camera.
