LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Luke Bryan has some advice for his new ‘American Idol’ co-judge.

The ‘Drunk on You’ crooner joked Carrie Underwood should “Up her therapist,” when asked during an interview by Seattle radio host Gabe Mercer.  

“If she has a therapist, she’s probably going to have to double to deal with me and Lionel [Richie],” Bryan explained.

Luke Bryan suggests special favor for Carrie Underwood's therapist

Luke Bryan poked fun at Carrie Underwood, "Maybe I should credit her. Do therapists do gift cards where I can call her therapist and gift her a voucher?”

Underwood is replacing Katy Perry as a judge in the reality show and it was first shared during ‘Good Morning America’ on August 1.

The ‘Cowboy Casanova’ songstress recently opened up about her return to the ‘American Idol’, the show which she won in 2005, per People.

"I remember being at home in our little house and seeing on TV that there were auditions in St Louis. My mom said, 'If you want to go, I'll drive you,’” Underwood recalled.

2005 'American Idol' winner Carrie Underwood is waiting to 'give back' to the show

The eight-time Grammys winner continued, "I'm proud of everything that I was able to accomplish on the show, and I'm so proud of everything that I've accomplished since.”

Recently, an insider shared with Daily Mail that whenever talks were about Underwood’s return, the plans were thwarted by “either timing, money or other commitments.” however, the CMT Award winner’s loyalty always remained with the show that hard-launched her career.

Since everything is aligned, the ‘Remind Me’ singer is just waiting to “give back” to the show.

The source recently shared with the outlet, “They have asked Carrie in the past to be a judge and either timing, money or other commitments have got in the way to make it a reality.”

“She has been asked to coach on 'The Voice' as well, but it just never seemed right,” the source added, before noting, “'Even with the opening she has to speak to the same people at NBC by working with 'Sunday Night Football', she has always felt that she needed to be loyal to American Idol.”
