Luke Newton reunites with 'Bridgerton' co-star Nicola Coughlan for her hometown tour after show's success

GALWAY, IRELAND: ‘Bridgerton’ fans can’t have enough of the show!

As the show’s Colin and Penelope, Luke Newton, and Nicola Coughlan reunited for a nostalgic trip to Galway, fans broke the internet with their incessant gushing about the pair’s chemistry.

On Thursday, June 27, Coughlan and Newton visited the Irish actress’ hometown in Galway, Ireland, where they spent considerable time amidst nature. Later the pair further delved into reminiscing about their time on the show, per Daily Mail.

Both actors have been associated with the show for all of its three seasons. While they played the supporting characters in the first two seasons, the third season dealt with Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton finally finding love. 

The clip began with the 37-year-old actress showing off the Irish landscape to her co-star. In the background, the star can be heard saying, “The people have really welcomed me, I don't know what I expected honestly.”

Later, they moved to a theater where they rewatched some of their scenes from the show starting from the first season. 

Seeing the clips from the first season, Coughlan says, “We look like babies. I loved that dress it was so cute.”

They also went through some of the milestone scenes from the first season, including the show’s first ball and Penelope almost confessing her love for Colin (who had been her friend since childhood). 

Later they ventured into revisiting some of the clips from the third season as well. When asked what message the fans can take home from their season, Newton said, “There's a message to it of discovering who you are but also you don't have to do it on your own, someone can help you.”

The ‘Derr Girls’ actress shared her feelings about starring in the show, saying, "It's life-changing, it's going to have an impact on our lives forever, when we're old and grey.”

Later, the duo traveled to a pub where they had a pint of Guinness together. Coughlan also revealed that she landed the role only after one audition. 

“Every screening we've gone across the world it's a real pinch me moment,” added the actress and continued while fighting back tears, “You've been so great at it, and I wouldn't want to do it with anyone else ... and I am SO tired.”

The duo, along with the other cast members, have traversed the world to promote the steamy regency romance.

Coughlan and Newton were not the only people to get emotional at the turn of events as fans too joined them in their nostalgic sojourn.

Another fan added, "You can really see the love and support they have for each other. They are the best on screen and off. Great actors and I see a great future for both. Hopefully we can see them together again on Brigerton or any other project."
