LONDON, UK: Netflix’s popular show ‘Bridgerton’ season 4 lead character has been revealed!

Through an Instagram post, the streaming service shared that Luke Thompson's character, Benedict Bridgerton will take center stage in the next season.

The clip shows moments showing Benedict Bridgerton throughout the series, "Welcome to the marriage mart mr. bridgerton," the caption read. "Benedict’s story is coming next season."

In season 1, Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon Basset (Rege-Jean Page)'s love affair was focused, followed by Daphne’s brother Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma’s (Simone Ashley).

And in the most recent addition, the season revolved around Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and longtime childhood friend Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), per People.

Earlier talking with ‘The View’, in June on the possibility of his character taking the lead for season 4, Thompson reflected, "I don’t know."

"I know that it's so lovely [and] that one of the best things about a TV job is you get to really explore a character long-form like that and fill him in slowly. So as long as I keep getting to do that," he added. 

'Bridgerton' season 4’s synopsis claims, "Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down — until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother's masquerade ball," according to Netflix.

Internet can't wait to see Luke Thompson take the center stage with his Benedict Bridgerton's role in next season. Fans expressed their excitement and are eagerly waiting for season 4.

One fan wrote on the announcement on Facebook, "I’m hoping it stays pretty true to the book because I don’t like what they’ve done with his character so far..but maybe that’s the point for his season."
