LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A well-known YouTuber and makeup artist, James Charles gained a lot of support from social media users when he shared his opinion and strongly criticized the new bill that might lead to TikTok being banned in the United States.

James Charles calls out government for TikTok bill

TMZ reported that many influencers, including Charles, are upset about the new TikTok bill. Charles criticized the bill publicly during an interview at the 35th annual GLAAD Awards. While walking the red carpet, he was asked about the recently passed bill in the House of Representatives.

According to TMZ, Charles didn't hold back his opinions and strongly criticized the government for prioritizing the bill. He even questioned the government's focus, expressing frustration at what he sees as misplaced priorities.

In a video shared by Pop Crave, Charles is quoted as saying, "It's the dumbest f**king s**t I've ever heard. Makes me so mad beyond f**king belief." He goes on to highlight, "We’re starving. People are dying. People are in jail for marijuana f**king charges. We’re in a war that we should not be in, in the first place, and TikTok is our most pressing concern? I don’t think so.”

Charles also criticizes the swift progress of the bill by saying, "It's also infuriating and a test to our political system that, that bill got introduced five minutes ago and now it's already going to the Senate whereas there's already all sorts of bills that take weeks, months, years and never get anything done to them."

He concludes by urging people to take action, calling the bill "stupid" and emphasizing the importance of voting in the upcoming election.
