LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After one of her fans filed a lawsuit against Madonna over delay in the start of the star's concerts, her team responded to the legal filing.

“The shows opened in North America at Barclays in Brooklyn as planned, with the exception of a technical issue on December 13th during soundcheck,” the team said.

“This caused a delay that was well documented in press reports at the time. We intend to defend this case vigorously.”

Madonna was late on all three days during her Brooklyn shows

According to the lawsuit copy obtained by TMZ, there was a three-hour delay for her December show at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

The pop queen is accused of "false advertising" in the lawsuit filed by concertgoers Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden against her and concert organizer Live Nation.

For all three nights, Madonna showed up late to Barclays Center on December 13, 14, and 16, and as per the plaintiffs, the show was supposed to start at 8:30 pm ET but didn't end up starting until 10:30 pm.

"It was a wanton exercise in false advertising, negligent misrepresentation, and unfair and deceptive trade practices,” allege the plaintiffs.

They pointed out that she has a history of starting her concerts late, reports DailyMail.

Fans reacted to 3 hours of delays online

According to the court document, both parties acknowledge that Madonna experienced health issues, leading to the initial postponement of the concert dates from July to December.

However, there is a disagreement regarding whether these health issues could have resulted in a delayed commencement of the show dates.

The star was struck down by a life-threatening bacterial infection last year.

Some of the online reactions posted over the delay were, as follows.

“I don't give a f**k if you're Madonna if you're 3 hours late, you're just f***ing rude,” wrote one.

Another fan said, “Concert was supposed to start at 8:30. Madonna started at 11 pm. The whole arena chanted bulls**t at her lateness. Great show but went way too late.”

“2:30 hours late. I WANT A REFUND NOW,' another X user demanded.

“I love Madonna but it's really f***ed up how she's literally like 2 hours late for her FIRST show in us,” a fan cried.
