WASHINGTON, DC: Marjorie Taylor Greene said President Donald Trump “has gone mad” after he publicly attacked several conservative commentators over their criticism of his stance on Iran.

The sharp rebuke from Greene followed Trump’s lengthy social media post targeting prominent right-wing voices, marking a notable split within conservative circles as tensions over the Iran conflict intensify.

The exchange reflects growing disagreements among Trump’s allies, particularly over foreign policy decisions and whether the president has strayed from earlier campaign promises.

MTG slams Trump remarks

Greene accused Trump of turning against those who supported his political rise and abandoning his earlier commitments.

"President Trump has gone mad as he wages war against Iran, a broken campaign promise. I fought alongside Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones to help get Trump elected. And now he goes off on a rambling rant attacking all of us in one post. We NEVER changed, Trump did. AMERICA FIRST!!!" Greene said.



Her comments came in response to Trump’s direct criticism of several conservative commentators who have questioned his approach toward Iran.

In a Truth Social post shared on Thursday, April 9, Trump lashed out at Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones, accusing them of opposing him and questioning their credibility.



“I know why Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones have all been fighting me for years, especially by the fact that they think it is wonderful for Iran, the Number One State Sponsor of Te**or, to have a Nuclear Weapon - Because they have one thing in common, Low IQs,” Trump wrote.

“They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too!” he added.

He also described them as “TROUBLEMAKERS,” claiming they were seeking attention and relevance.

Rift within conservatives

Trump defended his position by framing it as necessary for national security, emphasizing his opposition to Iran obtaining nuclear weapons.

“MAGA is about WINNING and STRENGTH in not allowing Iran to have Nuclear Weapons. MAGA is about MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and these people have no idea how to do that, BUT I DO, because THE UNITED STATES IS NOW THE 'HOTTEST' COUNTRY ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!" he said.

The dispute highlights a widening divide among conservatives, with some backing Trump’s aggressive stance on Iran while others question the shift. Analysts say the public fallout signals deeper tensions within the movement as foreign policy becomes a key point of contention.
