‘Makes me so nervous’: Internet slams TLC star Audrey Roloff for keeping her children close to fireplace
HILLSBORO, OREGON: The ‘Little People, Big World’ star Audrey Roloff has been called out online for allegedly being a careless mother.
The 32-year-old Internet personality shares three children— Ember, 6; Bode, 4; and Radley, 2 — with her husband Jeremy Roloff.

Audrey Roloff posted about her family time online
Audrey posted multiple photos online via her Instagram Stories over the weekend, showing her middle child’s birthday celebration, The Sun reported.
Her social media shares also included a photo of two of her children sitting near the fireplace.
They were on two different chairs as they put their backs in front of the fire.
‘A spark could jump out and catch their clothes’
Seeing the photo, people on the Internet felt concerned for the children's safety as a Reddit user shared, “This makes me so nervous having them just sit there so close to that fire with no barrier between them. 😣”
The second user commented, “We always had a fire guard even though ours wasn't an open fire or even a gas one that got particularly hot. I just didn't want my child getting used to thinking fires were safe to go close too. A spark could jump out and catch their clothes or anything so I thought there should be some kind of guard there even if it isn't a full one like we had as kids. Usually a metal one attached to the wall in my day.”
The third one wrote, “They weren’t there long. She made them sit there for the photo. And please tell me she opened the spark screen for the photo and that isn’t how she has the kids sit in front of it.”
“I'd allow it for my own kids, they've been around fires since birth and are well versed in fire safety. BUT I would be supervising and within arms reach at all times at this age. I'm sure they're paying more attention to socials than the kids 🤦♀️,” the fourth user stated.

‘These kids are making memories’
However, there were a few who supported Audrey.
A person mentioned, “This is a stupid thing to snark about. We are locked in ice right now around here. It’s fracking freezing, people have fires going. Some of the things y’all snark on make me wonder if you’ve never trained kids to behave. Not everything is unsafe.”
Another person added, “Oh this is fine guys. We enjoyed the same at my grandparents' home as kids... hot chocolate and cookies after coming in from a snowball fight. Those were the days. These kids are making memories.”
