Maren Morris says she is not looking to date anyone in the near future

In a candid conversation on 'The Howard Stern Show', Morris confirmed her divorce and shared that she has no plans to date soon.

Speaking about her new bob hairstyle, the 'My Church' singer told Howard Stern that she "cut all the trauma out of my hair."

"I think this year hasβ€”for a lot of people, not just meβ€”a lot of people that are close to me have gone through it. I've known so many people that have gone through breakups or divorces," she added.

Referencing her breakup, the 33-year-old singer said, "I would like this to sort of wrap up."

"I don't have the headspace for that yet. But I'm writing so much right now, that's kind of been my way of dating is just through song," she added.

Inside Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd's divorce

According to a Tennessee court clerk, Maren filed for divorce from Ryan in early October, ending their five years of marriage.

She cited β€œirreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and also requested the court to honor their prenup.

Before she publicly addressed her divorce from Ryan with whom she shares a three-year-old son, Maren's messages on social media alluded to her changes in life. The 'Chasing After You' singer also sought joint custody of their son, a permanent parenting plan, and asked the court to grant her separate property.

Two weeks after the singer's divorce filing, she reposted a message from Vienna Pharaon, a marriage and family therapist.

"It will be fine," read the crossed-out words and instead read, "It will just be, and when it is, you will face what's necessary."

As per Us Weekly, Maren shared a mirror selfie to her Instagram Story on November 13 and wrote, "The annual existential crisis: cut all hair off, adopt a dog, get back on antidepressants."

However, she shared a picture of herself and Hurd taking their son Hayes trick or treating on Halloween. The now estranged couple met in a co-write in 2013 and got engaged in 2017.

Morris and Hurd tied the knot on March 24, 2018, and had welcomed their son Hayes in March 2020.
