Mariah Carey stunned to learn Katy Perry went to space 4 months ago, Internet dubs her 'unbothered queen'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Mariah Carey appears to be catching up on major celebrity headlines a little late, especially when it comes to fellow pop star Katy Perry.
The 'We Belong Together' singer expressed surprise when told about Perry’s trip to space four months ago.

Mariah Carey asks ‘Did she go to space?’ after Katy Perry’s Blue Origin flight revelation
While chatting with Scott Mills, during her appearance on BBC Radio 2's ‘The Scott Mills Breakfast Show,’ the topic caught her completely off guard.
Carey was asked if she would consider a spaceflight, similar to what Perry experienced earlier this year.

“Would you fancy going to space? You know, like Katy Perry did,” Mills asked.
A baffled Carey replied, “Did she go to space?” prompting Mills to confirm the news.
Still not entirely convinced, Carey asked, “Where’d she go?” A crew member clarified off-camera that the 'Firework' singer had gone "just into orbit and back."
The host, 52, added, “Yeah, I have not made this up. This is true,” after Carey asked, “She was, like, floating in the… and this is true?”

Her response? “Wow. Alright Katy,” she said. “I’m not mad at her. That’s pretty amazing.”
Scott Mills tells Mariah Carey Katy Perry ‘hasn’t stopped talking’ about space trip
After confirming the flight details, Mills commented, “I mean, she hasn't stopped talking about it since,” referring to Perry’s short but impactful journey.
The pop star was one of six women on an all-female Blue Origin flight on April 14.

Carey, however, had no plans to join her. “Would you do it?” Mills asked, to which she dryly replied, “I think I've done enough.”
Carey’s remark reminded many fans of her now-famous 2003 comment when she was asked about Jennifer Lopez and simply replied, “I don’t know her.”
That moment has since lived on as a viral meme, and fans believe this latest interaction may add another line to the list.
Perry, 40, who recently split from fiance Orlando Bloom, 48, joined Jeff Bezos' then-fiancee Lauren Sanchez, CBS host Gayle King, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, and producer Kerianne Flynn for the historic 11-minute trip.
Internet says Mariah Carey’s reaction to Katy Perry’s space flight is ‘pure comedy’
Fans online have reacted to Carey’s unbothered response and confusion over the event.
“Sounds like someone’s a little jealous. 🤭,” one user wrote on X.
“Imagine being so famous you don't even know what other famous people are doing. That's peak celebrity right there,” another commented.
