Marie Osmond breaks silence on her brother Wayne's death: 'He was always my safe place'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Marie Osmond paid tribute to her older brother Wayne Osmond following his death due to stroke on January 1 in Salt Lake City.
Days after his death, Marie shared a heartfelt tribute, revealing that she drove to see him days before his death while reflecting on their deep bond.
Marie Osmond recalls her cherishing visit to Wayne Osmond before his death
Marie Osmond, 65, took to Instagram on January 8 to honor Wayne Osmond, expressing gratitude for a recent visit before his death.
"I really felt the Spirit compel me to go see him, and I’m so thankful I listened to what I was feeling," Marie wrote in the Instagram post along with a picture of her with Wayne.
"I will cherish those hours I spent with him for the rest of my life," she added.

"I didn’t know that just a few days after my visit, he would have a massive stroke," Marie wrote.
She added that it's "too hard to put into words" but described Wayne as "one of the most loving men I have ever known."
Marie Osmond says Wayne was 'her safe place to go' whenever she needed advice
Marie Osmond highlighted her late brother Wayne Osmond's long and successful career but focused on their personal relationship.
"But what stands out to me as his sister were the joy-filled, humorous times I spent laughing with him and our deep intellectual conversations that left me edified in one way or another," Marie wrote in her tribute to Wayne.
She said Wayne was her "safe place to go when I needed advice," adding that he was deeply loving and devoted to his family and faith.
"Wayne loved deeply, and he showered his love upon his beautiful wife, Kathy," Marie said in her tribute. She also said his "beautiful children and grandchildren is all he ever talked about!"
Marie also admired him for his deep love and "unwavering devotion to God."
Marie Osmond's emotional farewell to Wayne Osmond
Expressing her emotions, Marie Osmond revealed her message for her brother.
"Wayne, I could not cherish the gift God gave me more than to be loved by you in this life! You are a true, loving brother, and I will miss you so very much," Marie wrote.
"I testify eternally of my great love for you with every fiber of my heart and soul!" she added.
She ended her tribute by offering prayers to others who have experienced similar losses, writing, "I know many of you understand these feelings from losing your precious loved ones. My deepest prayers are with you."
Wayne Osmond died at the age of 73 after suffering a stroke. His cause of death was shared by his brothers Donny Osmond, Merrill Osmond, and Jay Osmond in social media posts on January 2.

Wayne married Kathlyn White, a former pageant queen, in 1974. The couple welcomed five children.
He also faced health challenges over the years, including a brain tumor in 1997 that resulted in hearing loss and a stroke in 2012 that left him unable to play guitar, People noted.
