WASHINGTON, DC: Towards the end of 2023, Hunter Biden's subpoena by the GOP oversight committee made headlines. Despite being physically present at the Capitol, his absence during the closed-door deposition became a focal point of media coverage.

However, on January 10, Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene disclosed some details about Hunter's participation in the "Oversight hearing to hold him in contempt."

According to videos posted by the official Oversight Committee and Greene on X (formerly known as Twitter), Hunter allegedly "fled" the courtroom after Rep James Cromer recognized Greene, sparking a significant reaction on the internet.

Marjorie Taylor Greene attacks Hunter Biden on X

As Hunter Biden arrived at the hearing, Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote on X, “Hunter Biden just walked in our Oversight hearing to hold him in contempt. Hunter can’t follow the law! Showing up after he’s broken the law by violating his subpoena is not following the law, Hunter must follow the law!! All Hunter has done is break the law.”

As the hearing continued, Greene shared more updates on X, but the focus remained on one. She wrote, “Hunter Biden traffics women for sex but ran away when I was recognized to speak to him.”

She further continued, “The only women Hunter Biden likes to deal with are the women he hires for sex, flies across the country, films and photos his disgusting porn with, and posts his nasty videos on porn sites. Hunter can’t handle being held accountable for the crimes he has committed.”

The GOP Oversight Committee also wrote on X, “🚨 HUNTER BIDEN FLEES FROM @RepMTG!”

Conservative hosts like Benny Johnson also shared clips of the same and wrote, “🚨BREAKING: Hunter Biden STORMS OUT in the middle of congressional hearing after MTG tries to question him.”

Internet reacts to Hunter Biden ‘fleeing’ the courtroom

After Marjorie Taylor Greene and several others shared accounts of Hunter Biden walking out of the courtroom after Greene was recognized during the hearing, the internet's response was prompt.

One user wrote, "Dear Marjorie Taylor Greene, The sound of your voice and the appearance of your face is enough to make anyone run away. Seriously," and another questioned, "Then why wasn’t he arrested?"

"In all fairness, I would have run away if you started speaking to me too," wrote one user, and another said, "Oh stfu."

People continued to mock Greene as one user wrote, "Everyone runs away when you try to speak to them," and another wrote, "You're not worth attention."
