WASHINGTON, DC: Marjorie Taylor Greene is gearing up for “another gun giveaway soon” this time with a pointed message aimed at Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris.

The Republican congresswoman, known for her fiery rhetoric and staunch defense of gun rights, announced the upcoming rifle giveaway on the anniversary of the chaotic Biden administration withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

MTG teases rifle giveaway while highlighting Afghanistan withdrawal

In a post on social media, Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a throwback video of herself holding a .50-caliber rifle, a weapon she claims would be banned under Democratic leadership “if they keep the House.”

"Throwback to three years ago when Kamala Harris proudly claimed she was the ‘last person in the room’ during the disastrous Afghanistan pullout," Greene wrote. "I’ll be doing another gun giveaway soon. And it’ll be one she will want banned should she get elected!"

The Georgia representative's criticism of Harris and the Joe Biden administration doesn’t stop there. She also referenced the controversial Afghanistan pullout, which has been a flashpoint for Republican criticism of Democratic foreign policy.

The Biden administration implemented a withdrawal plan initially negotiated by the Donald Trump administration with the Taliban in 2020. However, the rapid pullout in August 2021 enabled the Taliban to reclaim control of Afghanistan, resulting in a suicide bombing attack that claimed the lives of 13 American soldiers.

Greene’s latest video features her firing at a vehicle labeled "socialism" until it explodes, a dramatic visual representation of her promise to "blow away the Democrat socialist agenda."

Further, the congresswoman shared a website inviting supporters to register for the giveaway, warning that they should do so "before Joe Biden bans it."

Trump vows to hold Harris accountable for Afghanistan tragedy

This latest move by Marjorie Taylor Greene is part of a broader Republican strategy to target Kamala Harris in the wake of President Joe Biden’s decision to endorse her as his successor.

Trump, for his part, has vowed to hold Harris accountable for what he describes as the failures of the Afghanistan withdrawal, promising to demand the resignations of officials involved in the decision.

“The voters are going to fire Kamala and Joe on November 5, we hope, and when I take office we will ask for the resignations of every single official,” the twice impeached former president said at a rally in Detriot on Monday.

“We’ll get the resignations of every single senior official who touched the Afghanistan calamity, to be on my desk at noon, on Inauguration Day. You know, you have to fire people. You have to fire people when they do a bad job,” reported MEAWW.

Kamala Harris defends Afghanistan withdrawal as 'right decision'

Kamala Harris, meanwhile, has defended the administration’s actions on the anniversary of the terror attack at the Abbey Gate at Kabul Airport. She stated that ending America’s longest war was the "courageous and right decision" and reiterated her commitment to protecting the American people from terrorist threats.

"Over the past three years, our administration has demonstrated we can still eliminate terrorists, including the leaders of al-Qaeda and ISIS, without troops deployed into combat zones. I will never hesitate to take whatever action necessary to counter terrorist threats and protect the American people,” PBS reported.
