WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) faced people’s wrath online as she filed a criminal complaint against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and special Prosecutor Nathan Wade, whom the DA hired to lead the election interference case against Donald Trump in Georgia.

The 49-year-old Georgia Congresswoman filed the complaint on Wednesday, November 10, requesting an inquiry into Willis over her alleged “improper” relationship with Wade.

“I just sent a criminal referral requesting an immediate investigation into Fani Willis and her alleged secret boyfriend, Nathan Wade, to Gov. Brian Kemp and AG Chris Carr,” the Republican fire-band wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Greene, a staunch supporter of Trump, also added that Georgians “are sick and tired of Fani using her office to go after Joe Biden’s top political opponent rather than going after real crime in Georgia.”

What are Greene’s allegations against Willis?

In her letter to Governor Brian Kemp and Georgia AG Chris Carr, Greene called for an inquiry into the claims that Willis "illegally hired her secret boyfriend" to proceed with an "unprecedented, complex, and partisan" probe into Trump and other individuals.

Amid allegations that DA and Wade have visited Napa Valley and the Caribbean together, Greene persisted in her assertion that Willis might have profited financially by hiring her alleged romantic partner as the special prosecutor.

“This is part of Fani Willis’ unlawful partisan pattern, through her words and deeds, to illegally politicize and weaponize her public office to wage lawfare against President Trump for the purpose of interfering in the 2024 presidential election,” Greene wrote, according to NY Post.

The initial allegations were made by Michael Roman, one of Trump's eighteen co-defendants in Willis' RICO investigation, in court documents this week asking for the charges to be dropped.

To the DA office's investigation into possible meddling in Georgia's 2020 presidential election, Roman is being charged with seven crimes, including conspiracy to violate the Georgia RICO Act, conspiracy to pose as a public official, conspiracy to commit first-degree forgery, and conspiracy to make false statements and write false statements.

The document from Roman’s attorney, Ashleigh Merchant, accused Willis of having an “improper, clandestine personal relationship” with Wade, which included tropical vacations together while working on the case.

“Willis and Wade have engaged in a personal relationship both before and after Willis appointed Wade as the special prosecutor in the instant case.”

“Willis and Wade were romantically involved prior to Willis awarding a contract for legal services with Wade. It is not entirely clear when the relationship began, but it began while Wade was married,” the documents state.

In the meantime, Willis has been summoned to testify in Wade's divorce case from Joycelyn, his wife.

Internet reacts to MTG’s complaint

Greene’s post has garnered immense social media attention, with users slamming him for filing a criminal complaint against Willis.

“How? Don't just say things prove it,” one user mocked MTG. “What she is doing and her corruption shows to all of us. The good people of Georgia should be ashamed of someone like this,” a second user blasted.

“MTG complaining about literally anyone’s “romantic relationship” is rich. The absolute irony,” a third user slammed while a fourth one wrote “Hahaha… no one will quote Peach Tree Dish. She resorts to quoting herself.”

“That’s our Marge doing everything possible to keep herself in the public eye except what she should be doing in Congress 🙄” a fifth user fumed.

“This is what your constituents pay you to do? But you aren’t doing a damn thing to help them” one more wrote.
