'Straight up hater': Internet backs Massiel Taveras for shoving security guard who pushed her at Cannes

CANNES, FRANCE: Cannes witnessed another altercation on its final day between security and a celebrity.

Interestingly, it was apparently the same security personnel with whom Kelly Rowland had a heated exchange a few days earlier.

Dominican actress Massiel Taveras shoves security at Cannes

A clip has gone viral on social media in which the security guard can be seen trying to move Dominican actress Massiel Taveras along the Palais des Festivals staircase.

The star got so agitated with constant pressure to move ahead that she eventually pushed the guard.

In the video, Taveras is going up the red carpet in her white gown that features a long train with Jesus printed on it.

The security guard urged Taveras to move along the carpet after she unfolded the train of her dress.

However, Taveras tried to fan out the train of her dress and while doing so, she was seen pushing the security guard’s arm away.

Interestingly, on Thursday, May 23, Kelly Rowland addressed her altercation with the same guard.

"The woman knows what happened. I know what happened. I have a boundary, and I stand by those boundaries, and that is it," she told Associated Press at the amfAR Cannes Gala in France.

"And there were other women that attended that carpet who did not quite look like me, and they didn’t get scolded or pushed off or told to get off. I stood my ground, and she felt like she had to stand hers, but I stood my ground," she added.

Kelly, in the viral clip, was seen pointing a finger at the face of security after repeatedly being asked to move along the carpet.

Netizens questioned the behavior of security personnel who was earlier involved in a heated exchange with actress Kelly Rowland.

One person pointed on X, "The same security guard? They can fire her!"

"Can this security guard be fired already?" another questioned.

A user commented, "This lady is a straight up hater… first Kelly Rowland and now Massiel Taveras…..she needs to be terminated."

"I’m glad she pushed her cause who’s she’s playing with," one more user slammed security personnel.

Another speculated, "Why is this woman being so strict with women of color, but not others 🤔"

"I think it’s official now. Europe is back to being the most disgusting racist continent…this is actually disturbing," one agreed.
