This alarming incident occurred just two hours after the alleged stalker was granted supervised release from court.
Taylor Swift considering legal action against sites that published her fake images
According to the Daily Mail, Swift is infuriated by the circulation of AI-generated images online and is contemplating legal action against the deepfake site responsible for hosting them. Swift has become the latest target of this website, prompting Swifties to express their support for the 'Anti-hero' singer.
This week, numerous explicit images featuring Swift were uploaded to platform X, depicting her in various explicit scenarios. These images quickly spread across Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit.
Daily Mail reports that both X and Reddit began removing the posts on Thursday morning after being alerted about certain accounts.
A source close to Swift, cited by the Daily Mail on Thursday, stated, "Whether or not legal action will be taken is being decided but there is one thing that is clear: these fake AI-generated images are abusive, offensive, exploitative, and done without Taylor’s consent and/or knowledge."
The source, as reported by Daily Mail, emphasized the need for the removal of these images, condemning their existence and expressing concern about the platform's initial tolerance. The X account responsible for posting them no longer exists.
The Daily Mail report also mentions that X has suspended an account sharing AI-generated explicit images of Swift, but several others with similar content have emerged despite the backlash.
