Wendy Williams challenges diagnosis as her guardian calls for further testing
Meanwhile, Wendy Williams' court-appointed guardian, Sydney Morrissey, has requested new medical testing.
This follows Williams' fresh claims on 'The Breakfast Club,' where she dismissed her diagnosis as "disgusting" and "fake" on Wednesday, February 5.
"That’s a very rare thing for anybody to have," Williams said in her interview, adding "I’m not incapacitated. I am not a baby."
In response, Morrissey addressed a letter to a New York judge, arguing that new medical evaluations are necessary.
The letter, obtained by USA TODAY, states that Williams "has now repeatedly stated publicly that she disagrees" with her diagnosis.
Morrissey added that this disagreement is "not uncommon for patients with FTD who have impaired awareness even regarding their own impairments."
The filing calls for "comprehensive neurological and psychological testing by a specialist in the field" to ensure the correct diagnosis for Williams.
Internet divided as users react to Meek Mill’s post
Meanwhile, the internet has criticized Meek Mill for not helping Wendy Williams, with some suggesting his post was not beneficial to her at all.
Others were of the opinion that talking about her was intended to help her, while at the same tile drawing concerns about Williams guardianship.
"Did u walk up and talk to her or u just sat there and thought man she look bugged out...that’s her regular appearance," one person commented on X.
"How are you helping a black woman when you post stuff like this? You are not helping her case. Take this down meek @MeekMill," another user wrote.
A different comment read, "So why you didn't help her dummy you always make someone situation about you."
Some users speculated about Williams’ condition, with one writing on Instagram, "I will never not think they did something to her to silence her smh."
Another added, "I hope more people speak up for her like they did with Britney. This is all wild!"
Defending Mill, a user wrote, "Meek could tell y’all 1+1=2 & y’all still wouldn’t believe it because it’s Meek."
