Despite her grief, Megan Thee Stallion was determined to keep performing, believing that her mother would have wanted her to keep going.

Just three weeks after Thomas’s death, Megan was back on stage, knowing her mother supported her passion and career.

"Ya'll know that 2019 has been really tough for me. I don't wanna cancel none of my shows, and I didn’t want to stop going, because that's not what my mama would want me to do," Megan says to her audience in a clip from the documentary.

The loss of both parents weighed heavily on her confidence and sense of self. “When my mama passed away, I think I really forgot who I was and I lost a lot of confidence,” she shared.
