Megan Thee Stallion’s ex Pardison Fontaine croons 'He Can’t Love U' after her Klay Thompson split
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pardison Fontaine, who previously dated Megan Thee Stallion, posted a video of himself singing a breakup-style track soon after news of her split from NBA player Klay Thompson surfaced.
In the clip, he performed an unaccompanied version of Jagged Edge’s 1999 song 'He Can’t Love U' on Instagram. “You should never wanna be with a man if he can’t be a man and do the things to you like I can,” he said. “I’m telling you, he can’t love you like I love you.”
He also added in the caption, “JAGGED EDGE TOO UNDER8ED @official_je,” alongside the post.
Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson end their relationship after a year
Megan Thee Stallion is going through a tough emotional moment right now, with her recent breakup quickly becoming a major topic online. The rapper’s split from Klay Thompson has drawn wide attention, especially after fans noticed her visibly emotional during a live onstage performance.
The 'Savage' hitmaker confirmed she ended the relationship after less than a year together. "I've made the decision to end my relationship with Klay," Megan said in a statement to E News on Saturday, April 25.
"Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there's no real path forward."
She also shared that she is now focusing on her own well-being as she moves forward. "I'm taking this time to prioritize myself," she said, "and move ahead with peace and clarity."
The announcement followed a series of emotional and cryptic posts on Instagram that had already sparked breakup rumors.
"Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house... got 'cold feet,'" the Grammy winner wrote on her Instagram Stories. "Holding you down through all your horrible mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season, now you don't know if you can be 'monogamous'????"
"Got a REAL break after this one ..," she added, "bye y'all." Megan and the Dallas Mavericks guard first went public with their relationship in July 2025, after months of speculation.
